A detection of CO (1-0) in the Virgo cluster galaxy NGC 4472 at a position 1arcmin south of the nucleus is reported. The corresponding H2 mass is 2.1×107M_sun;. The gas at this off central position has a velocity and velocity dispersion different from that of the stellar component, properties consistent with X-ray cooling flow expectations. Additional observations of NGC 4472 in the CO (2-1) line yield only an upper limit.
