A recent paper has shown that, when plasma equilibrium with no relative particle streaming extends to the outer magnetosphere of a pulsar with magnetic and rotation axes misaligned, the coherent electromagnetic radiation is generated entirely outside the velocity-of-light cylinder. It is shown here that this coherent radiation equates to that which would be generated by the outer magnetosphere charge pattern being convected in rigid rotation. An explicit formula is obtained for the coherent radiation which consists of a beam compression weighting function operating on the field at the velocity-of-light cylinder. It is the special case, appropriate to the recently discovered actual plasma equilibrium distribution, of the powerful coherent radiation from general charge-current patterns rotating outside the velocity-of-light cylinder described by da Costa & Kahn and by Ardavan. Sharp, coherent pulses are generated, with spectral content extending up to radio and higher frequencies, and without the need for arbitrarily introduced sharp azimuthal changes in the source.
