Scientific paper

The articles in this issue address the following topics: extragalactic astronomy, physics of stars and interstellar media, solar physics, and dynamics and physics of bodies of the solar system. Specific articles discuss an observational program and some results from an investigation of microlensing effects; an investigatiion of the gravitational lenses H 1413+117 and Q 2237+030; the chemical composition of the atmospheres of three giant stars with CN2-indices; and the carbon abundance in the atmosphere of K giant lambda(sup1) Leo. Additional articles report on spectral effect simulation on the basis of two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic models of the solar photosphere; the digital vector-magnetograph regarding the channel of a longitudinal field; the drift Hamiltonian and limits of its application in a dipole magnetic field; the Green function of transport kinetic equation for impulsive monodirectional source. Other articles discuss the correlation between equivalent widths of the methane absorption bands and radio fluxes in the spectra of Uranus and Neptune; spectral monitoring of Shoemaker-Levy 9 comet impact sites on Jupiter; and a collection of comets' photographic images deposited at the Odessa Astronomical Observatory.
