The typical chaotic properties of nonlinear systems of astrophysical and cosmological interest are discussed. Three methods of studying of chaos in dynamical systems are described: Lyapunov numbers, Ricci curvature and iterated maps. Each method is illustrated by various problems, from the stability of the solar system to the properties of the large-scale structure of the Universe. Kolmogorov-Sinai entropy for the N-body system is calculated.
