We are proposing XMM observations of a small sample of Ultraluminous X-ray sources (ULXs)which have high enough XMM counting rates to enable sensitive searches for mHz QPOs and broadband power spectral features. Recent detection of QPOs in a ULX in M82 demonstrates that timing studies can provide a powerful new tool to probe the properties of ULXs. Some of the primary goals of our study include: 1) Search for mHz QPOs. 2) Obtain broad band power spectra to determine the typical rms variability levels with photon energy and 3) To make detailed comparisons with the timing properties of Galactic black hole systems of known mass.
