This proposal consists of an INTFLAT filter sweep and an internal preflash level test. The sweep is a complete set of internal flats, taken close in time to the VISFLAT sweep {proposal 6189}, cycling through both shutter blades and both gains. Signal to noise per pixel is estimated to be similar to the VISFLATs {0.6%} but the spatial and wavelength variations in the illumination pattern are much larger. However, the INTFLATs will provide a baseline comparison of INTFLAT vs VISFLAT, in the event of a cal-channel system failure and temporal variations in the flatfields at the 1% level. In addition, these images will provide a good measurement {better than 1%} of the stability of the gain ratios. The preflash test portion is designed to obtain INTFLATs with a variety of exposure times through 2 different filters, in order to determine appropriate levels for possible future preflashing of science images. Previous photometric analysis of the Omega Cen field has revealed an apparent 4% ramp {at -88C} across each CCD in the direction of the columns; application of a lowlevel preflash may reduce the effect. The exposure times requested is expected to produce a range of preflash levels {2e-/sec to 160 e-/sec}. Analysis of this internal data will yield optimum preflash exposure times, a verification of the lamp's linearity, and maps of the CTE traps.
