The Homunculus nebula around Eta Car and the nebula/jet of AGCar were expelled when these two Luminous Blue Variablessuffered ``giant eruptions", outbursts that rivaled asupernova explosion in luminosity and carried away severalsolar masses of material from their massive progenitors. HSThas already proven its superior power to image these outflowson spatial scales that cannot be achieved from the ground. These HST images reveal enormous detail in continuum filters, which presumably map the nebulae in dust-scattered light.Since scattered light is very highly polarized we propose touse the unique capabilities of the HST to image the outflowsin polarized light. We wish to obtain imaging polarimetry intwo widely separated continuum filters and in the H Alphafilter, in order to constrain three-dimensional models of thenebular structures in gas and dust components. Thepolarization maps will not only provide complementaryinformation to surface-brightness and colors maps, but willalso contain unique information that cannot be gathered viaany other technique. Of particular importance is thepossibility of detecting in polarized light the circumstellardisks that are suspected to exist owing to the axisymmetricnature of the outflows. By understanding the morphology of thenebulae we will be in a better position to understand the mass-loss process, and hence, the evolution of massive stars.
