Cosmic radiation which have energies above 100 TeV are discussed. Exam of the possible sources of such high energy particles are given. Also, measurement of high energy muons in air showers as a probe of composition in the 1014 to 1017 eV region of the spectrum is discussed. Finally, a description of a simulation used to analyze the 1017 to 1019 eV energy region of the spectrum is given. In this higher energy region evidence for a transition to a new population of particles exists. (AIP) ©American Institute of Physics 1995
