It is noted that Australia has the largest concentration of radio
telescopes in the Southern Hemisphere, including single dishes from 25
to 70 m in aperture and two large synthesis arrays. Some of these are
equipped with extremely wide bandwidth systems and will be utilized in
collaboration with NASA in future SETI projects.
