The authors analyze the technological process, developed for lunar conditions, for the purification and extraction in pure form of the light helium isotope contained in the gas mixture produced by heating lunar dust. The problem is connected with the development and implementation of the new and promising field of thermonuclear fusion. A technology scheme is suggested which comprises an eight-stage refrigeration and purification assembly and a helium isotope rectification unit. Necessary energy consumption is estimated.
