IRAS data for K- and M-type stars with surface activity are shown to exhibit a slight distinction between stellar fluxes observed at the 12-micron band and those characterized by the black-body radiation of these stars. These IR excesses and the relevant differences of color index correlate with the magnetic fluxes measured on these stars. Analysis of the possible mechanisms of the appearance of such IR excesses for these stars (synchrotron radiation, dust, and surface inhomogeneities) makes it possible to associate this effect with the significant spottedness of the stellar surfaces of active M- and late K-type stars.
