The method of hypersensitization (HS) of the astronomical emulsions used at the Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory is described. The regimes and results of hypersensitization for the Kodak IIIaJ emulsion are presented. Recommendations are given on the use of HS regimes on the basis of a concrete observation program. Questions connected with the use of desiccators of domestic manufacture for HS purposes and the advisability of building a new apparatus are discussed.
