The application of the theory of polar wandering to explain numerous features of the Martian surface is demonstrated. The origin of these features under polar conditions and their subsequent erosion over time is described, and their antipodal location on the Martian surface is pointed out. The use of erosional features and craters to date particular areas of the surface, and of grazing impact craters to trace the route of polar wandering during Martian history, is described.
