Results are presented of an investigation of the X-ray spectral variability in Ginga observations of three Seyfert galaxies: IC4329A, MCG-6-30-15, and NGC 4051. The impact on their spectral variations of the reprocessed component (RC) discovered with Ginga in several Seyfert galaxies is assessed, and the possibility of estimating the time lags in the response of RC to changes in the primary component (PC) is explored. In the spectra of the three galaxies there is clear evidence of an 'excess' at high energies and of the iron fluorescence line at 6.4 keV, both of which can be regarded as signatures of the RC. Spectral variations are present in all three galaxies, but those at high and low energies compare differently in each of them. In all three sources the hypothesis of a constant slope in the PC is statistically acceptable. In IC4329A and MCG-6-30-15 the spectra at low energies are well described by the two-component model with a uniform absorber of constant density.
