The exact solution of Kaluza-Klein gravity found by Chatterjee (1990) is
shown to be a special member of a class found by Gross & Perry
(1983) and Davidson & Owen (1985). However, the Chatterjee solution
involves a physically interesting choice of parameters, and we therefore
outline its astrophysical implications.
