Scientific paper

Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer observations of the helium-rich dwarf nova V803 Cen were conducted throughout an entire outburst cycle of 23 hr. The X-ray count rate is very low and does not change during the outburst cycle. The X-ray spectrum is consistent with a 10 keV bremsstrahlung source with a column density of 6×1020 cm-2. We compare the X-ray and optical properties of this system with those of dwarf novae with hydrogen disks.
