Galaxy mergers with a moderate far-infrared luminosity are poorly studied until know. Here we present parts of our multi-wavelength investigation of this kind of mergers focussing on the gaseous component. We obtained interferometric HI observations with the WSRT and the VLA to map the atomic gas distribution. In addition, CO observations taken with the OSO 20 m and IRAM 30 m were used to study the molecular gas reservoir as the potential fuel of a merger-induced starburst.
