Observed instances are given in this paper to show that
sub-Alfvénic flow can be formed in the quiet and recurrent
low-speed solar wind streams. This kind of flow appears in regions with
abnormal enhancement of Alfvénic speed and is associated with a
specific type of magnetic configuration.
