Planetary Satellites: Astrometry, Planetary Satellites: Ccd Observations

Scientific paper

A method to define a reference system in observations of natural
satellites taken with large focal distance telescopes is presented. Only
the motion of the planet is used. The method is applied to CCD frames
and photographic plates of the Uranian satellites. The results of
classical methods and the new method are compared.
