Because the IAU has designated 2009 as the International Year of Astronomy (IYA2009), the PASP will contribute to its goal of sharing astronomical discovery with a series of review articles that will appear each month. We anticipate that these reviews will be short summaries of the current status of a field and its future directions designed as information for the general readership. There will be no page charges for the first two pages. The topics of Galaxies, Planetary Nebulae, Cataclysmic Variables, Extrasolar Planets, the Sun, and Instrumentation are already in production. Up to six further topics can be accommodated.
Please contact me if you wish to produce an IYA2009 review article that will be complete prior to 2009 October.
