The Texas MWO 4.9 m antenna has been used with a new broad-band heterodyne submillimeter receiver to make first detections of ≡two dozen new submillimeter wavelength molecular lines toward the OMC-1 and M17 SW molecular clouds. The lines detected in the 301 - 352 GHz band arise from the H2CO, CS, C34S, SiO, HCN, H13CN, CN, CCH, SO, SO2, and CH3OH molecules. The OMC-1 plateau emission becomes more prominent, compared to quiescent emission in line profiles. This provides evidence for a higher excitation in the plateau gas, since many of submillimeter lines arise from higher energy levels. The intense, probably thermalized high J SiO lines suggest a very hot core (TK ≈ 450 - 600K).
