The analysis of the results of polarimetric and photometric observations (1969 - 1982) of BL Lac published in 1984 is continued. It has been found that, on an average, little correlation exists between the degree of polarization and brightness, but the polarization angles show a dependence on brightness. This is in agreement with the idea of a continuously acting polarized source in the Lacertids; its polarization angle defines the preferable direction. At separate time intervals the behaviour of BL Lac is found to be determined by individual variable sources with very high polarization (≈50%). Synchrotron nature of these sources is beyond doubt. The existence of a preferable direction of polarization is then an indication of a stable magnetic field in BL Lac.
