The possibility that the behavior of the Brunt-Vaisala frequency during hydrogen shell burning on a Wolf-Rayet star permits trapping of nonradial oscillation modes with moderately high l values was examined with stellar evolution models. Conditions which favor the appearance of trapped modes were delineated, noting that the modes behave as either acoustic or gravity waves. Modes which became trapped during H-shell burning were found to be too weak to account for the observed variability in Wolf-Rayet stars without the presence of additional destabilizing mechanisms.
