Fourier decomposition of light curves of short period Cepheids and s-Cepheids has been performed in order to investigate the properties of s-Cepheid light curves, compare them with those of classical Cepheids and detect suspected overtone pulsators. In general, the low order amplitude ratio and phase difference of s-Cepheid light curves are different from those of classical Cepheids. In particular, the distribution of phase difference values against the period indicates the possible presence of two different trends separated by a discontinuity near 3 days. This property has been interpreted tentatively as the effect of a new type of resonance between pulsation modes. Among the stars taken into account in the present work, only IR Cep is a suspected overtone pulsator.
