From 14 new times of minima of IM Aur and all the available data the authors derive a new mean period and find in the O-C residuals a periodicity of 1382d with an amplitude of 19 minutes. Since the secondary minima follow the behaviour of the primary ones, the variation of the period is probably due to the presence of a third body producing a light-time effect. The periodic curve representing the O-C values is asymmetric indicating a large eccentricity of the orbit. The mass function of the third body is 0.12 solar masses.
