Observations of sunspots provide a wealth of dynamical phenomena which have long confounded and perplexed theoreticians. Recent work with highly idealized numerical experiments suggests that many of the observed phenomena can be explained, or at least reproduced, within a single "unified theory" of magnetoconvection. We present a series of numerical simulations of compressible magnetoconvection which mimic Evershed flow, umbral dots, penumbral grains, and the formation of fluted penumbra and sunspot moats.
