Protostellar Clouds: Condensation
Scientific paper
The detection of proto-stars, which are mostly observed with bipolar outflows, progressed the study of star formation. The study of earlier stages, protostellar condensations, has just started. The author makes systematic surveys for dense cloud cores, which are considered as the birth site of stars, with the Nagoya 4 m telescope in the Taurus molecular cloud. This observation revealed the whole structure of the dense gas in Taurus.
