The high-resolution spectrum of the δ-system (b1π-a1Δ) of TiO, excited in a hollow cathode lamp, has been observed using a Fourier transform spectrometer. The 0-0 and 1-1 bands of this transition have also been identified in the spectrum of a sunspot umbra. The combined laboratory and solar measurements have been used to obtain improved molecular constants for the (b1π and a1Δ states of TiO.
