Stars: Horizontal-Branch, Galaxy: Halo
Scientific paper
MK classifications and radial velocities are presented for 67 stars whose photometry makes them FHB candidates. Their spectra mostly do not show the classical FHB characteristics of narrow hydrogen lines and weak metallic lines, yet their radial velocities indicate that this is a Galactic halo group of stars. They form a prime set for investigation of their evolutionary status. Unexpectedly, 10λ Bootis-like spectra are found among this set of stars.
