Rapid intensity variations in a number of spectral bands lasting from 5
to 40 min were detected during observations of the head of Comet
Kohoutek 1973 XII on January 19 and 30, 1974. The observations were made
with a scanning interferometer having a known absolute spectral
sensitivity.
