The combined White Light Coronagraph/X-Ray experiment on NASA's Solar Polar Mission Spacecraft will image the solar atmosphere over a wide range of solar altitudes. The experiment package consists of two instruments, a grazing incidence X-ray and XUV telescope and a white light coronagraph. Both instruments are housed in a single integral graphite composite assembly. The focal plane detectors for both experiments will be 800 x 800 back-illuminated CCDs. An on-board microprocessor and solid state data storage subsystem will process the information obtained from the CCDs. Thermal and radiation problems are also discussed.
