The origin of the angular momenta and magnetic moments of stars and planets is analyzed in the contest of Muradian's (1975) hypothesis that the observed forms of matter in the universe result from decays of disk-shaped (two-dimensional) superheavy hadrons with spin. This hypothesis explains the angular momenta of galaxies and clusters of galaxies by spin conservation. It is suggested that the origin and formation of stars and planets should be considered in a similar manner. The results of the analysis indicate that the superheavy hadrons involved in star and planet formation are three-dimensional.
