The accuracy of predictions of occultations of minor planets has been
checked. Eunomia showed close approaches to the stars SAO 97745, 97645,
and 97646 as photographed from Observatoire de Haute Provence.
Observations of this kind could improve the planetary theories and,
eventually, lead to reliable asteroid diameters.
