Exact eigenfrequencies and eigenfunctions are obtained for various nonradial modes of oscillation of the 1968 nonstandard solar model with values of the l index from 1 to 11 for modes p(1) to p(5), f, and the g(+) modes from g(1) to g(12). Exact and estimated periods for several of the nonradial modes are presented, the theoretical results are compared with published theoretical periods of nonradial oscillation for a standard solar model, and differences among the various theoretical results are discussed. The present calculations are compared with previously reported observations of solar oscillations with periods greater than 14 min. It is shown that the theoretical nonradial eigenperiods of solar oscillation, as well as previously computed radial eigenperiods, predicted by the 1968 nonstandard solar model are in excellent to good agreement with the observations. Possible identifications of the reported periods with particular modes are considered.
