Radiative Transfer: Opacities, Radiative Transfer: Non-Lte Models
Scientific paper
For the non-LTE system, the mean-free-path for the photon energy flux is calculated with the three-temperature model. The electron occupation probabilities pi are obtained by solving the rate equations. The results are compared with that by using the Fermi-Dirac distribution function and a strong discrepancy is found when tγ> 0.1 keV.
