We initiated a program to follow the temporal evolution of novae using the SMARTS facilities in 2004. Since then we have followed the evolution of some 50 galactic novae spectroscopically and photometrically. The next step is to undertake a systematic search for orbital periods. We propose here for time on the 1.3m/ANDICAM to search for photometric periods in the range of a few hours, and in the range 1- 20 days. Our targets are 7 recent novae visible in the A semester. This complements our ongoing longer-term SMARTS monitoring of these systems as they approach quiescence.
