The line profiles of H-alpha and forbidden N II from the ionized material, and forbidden O I from the neutral gas, are presented for many positions over the peculiar nebula NGC 6302. These were obtained with an insect-eye Fabry-Perot spectrograph on the 150-inch Anglo-Australian telescope. Neutral, as well as ionized material, appears to be flowing from the core of the nebula. Moreover, this central region is shown to have a value of an electron temperature of 26,700 + or 2000 K, which indicates collisional excitation. It is suggested that an energetic stellar wind, from a hidden embedded star, could produce many of the effects observed.
