The chemical composition of the Nova Cephei 1971 ejecta was obtained
from analysis of the emission lines. He, O and N are overabundant with
respect to the cosmic values, consistent with the CNO thermonuclear
runaway. The ejected shell has a mass of about 0.0001 solar mass.
