The supernova (SN) 1950E in the galaxy Zw 065.001 was found by Chai and van den Bergh (1970) on Palomar Observatory Sky Survey (POSS) plates. Its position has been accurately measured, and found that the position on the blue print of POSS is different by about 3 arcsec from that on the red print. It is concluded that SN 1950E is not an SN but rather a moving object like a minor planet.
