Solar-Terrestrial Relations: Climatic Changes

Scientific paper

The reponse of the climate system to external perturbation - e.g., a change in solar irradiance or a change in atmospheric opacity due to an increase in CO2 - depends rather strongly on feedback processes in the system, which either amplify or dampen the effects of the initial perturbation. A simple representation of the climate system is used to compare several important feedbacks, based upon GCM simulations by various investigators.
