We consider the history of discovery and justify the existence in the
Solar system of a new class of bodies-minicomets, i.e., bodies of
cometary nature and composition but of low mass. Two classes of
minicomets are distinguished: icy ones similar to the Tunguska
meteorite, and snow ones, which break up at high altitudes.
