Photoelectric magnetic field measurements of the star HR 1094 reveal that it possesses a fairly strong magnetic field. The effective longitudinal field varies between -2200 and 600 gauss. Until now, it was not known whether this star was an Ap star that possessed some HgMn-like abundance anomalies or vice versa. The presence of a magnetic field clearly indicates that it is a magnetic Ap star.
