Peculiarities of latitudinal and longitudinal distributions of sunspot groups in the ascending phase of solar cycles Nos. 19 - 22 have been found. It is shown that the latitudinal distribution of the number of sunspot groups in the ascending phase undergoes a considerable cycle-to-cycle variation, without manifesting, however, a definite secular variation of the N-S asymmetry of the sunspot group number with the phase of the solar cycle. It is found that the longitudinal distribution of summarized maximum sunspot areas in the ascending phase of the cycle is characterized with the least inhomogeneity and the least stability of active longitudinal intervals.
