A novel method for the resolution of the combined light curve of CE Cas into two oscillation components is described. About 250 photoelectric observations were analyzed to construct the UBVRI light curves of both components. Since CE Cas is a member of the open cluster NGC 7790, the parameters of these curves can be used to derive the relationships between the period and the luminosity. The moments of the components' brightness maxima are determined in order to investigate the elements of their brightness variability, revealing a jumplike decrease of the period of CEb Cas.
