The Kamiokande II water Cerenkov detector has been used to search for neutrino events correlated with the great solar flare activity observed in March 1989. No evidence for such a correlation is found. A search has also been made for low-energy events correlated with flares of importance two or greater and with solar proton flux of 10 Mev or greater. Again, no significant signal is found.
