Abstract

We consider the scattering of radio waves by anisotropic Langmuir
turbulence, whose source is the electron beams responsible for type III
solar bursts. We show that in the proposed model it is possible to
understand the results of the well-known James' experiments, which have
not so far been explained satisfactorily.
