The use of replication technology for X-ray mirrors is addressed with specific reference to the resolution and reflective qualities of the mirrors applied to certain missions. Replication techniques offer good optics in a thin-walled system and high throughput, and the features of the Kirkpatrick-Baez design and a replicated mirror (based on Wolter I optics) are compared to illustrate the benefits. A possible high-energy mirror system and a large deployable array are presented emphasizing the efficiency of the replication technology.
