SN-driven wind models are derived for spheroidal star systems with masses ranging from 10 to the 5th to 10 to the 11th solar mass, and therefore relevant to globular clusters, as well as to dwarf spheroidal and elliptical galaxies. The estimates of the time of occurrence of a global wind, and hence the fractional mass of the ejected gas and the mean star metallicity, differ appreciably from those published recently. It appears that the current formulation of the SN-driven wind model meets with some difficulties in explaining satisfactorily structural and/or chemical properties of low-mass and low-surface-brightness stellar systems.
