The separation of novae into groups by a sign of lightcurve shape plotted into "outburst amplitude, logarithm of shell radius" axes is discussed. The proposed separation of novae into groups is possibly connected with the morphology of shell ejected in an outburst. Novae with smooth light curves have ellipsoidal shells without considerable irregularities. Novae with the temporal light decline or with its oscillations at the transition have ellipsoides with irregular distribution of matter into shell. The author has considered relationships between some parameters of novae: absolute magnitude, outburst amplitude, shell expansion velocity, etc.
