We present new infrared and sub-mm spectra over a range of activity states, for the unusual X-ray binary Cygnus X-3. A multi-wavelength campaign from radio (GBI, Ryle), sub-mm (JCMT SCUBA), infrared (ISO, UKIRT) and X-ray (XTE PCA) wavelengths in quiescent, semi-active and flaring states is presented. From radio through the sub-mm the emission is dominated by synchrotron radiation; absence of spectral ageing of the electrons limits the magnetic field in the jets to < 7 T at 800 solar radii. The infrared spectrum in a quiescent state is dominated by thermal free-free emission from the Wolf-Rayet wind. However, the infrared spectra during outbursts is flatter than the wind model would allow, indicating a synchrotron component is observed during a flare.
